Netpehchaan (netpehchaan.in) is a project of Centre for Communication and Development Studies (CCDS), a study on internet access takes a close look at the digital divide and digital inequality in one of India’s fastest-growing metropolises – Pune. It aims to understand the extent to which people in low-income, resource-poor and diversely-literate urban settlements are disadvantaged with regard to internet access.

The logo is made up of the universal symbol of internet communications. It symbolizes the digital the vast number of digital outliers, mostly urban poor and rural communities, who are excluded due a variety of reasons including economic, infrastructure and language barriers and the need to make efforts to make it possible for them to be included and bridge the Digital Divide.
